Harry Potter
A seven part book series about a young boy who finds out he is a wizard and is taken to the wizarding world so he can attend the Hogwarts school for wizards. The evil wizard, Voldemort, is trying to regain his power, but Harry keeps getting in his way until finally, Harry defeats him. There is also an eight-part film series based on the books.
Harry Potter (26)
Harry Potter - The boy who lived. Harry Potter is a wizard, if not, THE wizard of my age. He was the underdog who lost his parents but would be the savior of the wizarding world because he just kept getting into shit. He kept snooping around, scooby doo style, ignoring danger. Almost dying but somehow, defeating evil, every time. He was poor minded but ended up with a bunch of wizard money. His best friend was from a large family that had little money. They befriend the smartest girl in school. They do wizard detective work and solve mysteries. Then the movies turned out to be done with such exceptional quality that it just catapulted the whole series into the stars.
Since Harry Potter has its own line of pops, there are a lot of different versions of him. This just happened to be one I spotted when I decided I needed to have Harry Potter. My interest in Harry Potter as dwindled down quite a lot since it ended. So it really didn't matter what Harry Potter pop I had, but this one, is a target exclusive, so it was more enticing than others. This figure is of Harry holding the egg he collected during the Goblet of Fire events. He had to hold it under water to hear what it was saying clearly. I recently watched Half-Blood Prince and I liked when he drank the Felix potion, so if that was a particular funko pop, I'd like that one, but I gravitate towards my current interests when it comes to pops. However, I have been picking up older ones more often now if I notice them.
Dementor (161)
Harry Potter - Harry faces the dementors a lot in the third book, Prisoner of Azkaban. The dementors are soul sucking things used to guard the prison, Azkaban. The only defense against a dementor is to use the spell expecto patronum, or something like that. If it's strong enough, the spell manifests into a physical form, like a stag or cat.
This pop came exclusively with a tee shirt. I started ordering x-large to wear as sleep shirts. This pop appealed to me because, I thought it looked really creepy and it glows in the dark. The pop is dusted with glow in the dark stuff and will faintly glow if you try it out. I only have a few Harry Potter pops despite loving the books.Â
