Murtagh

Murtagh continues to unravel a mystery behind some magical artifacts and talks of a witch. Previous characters from the Eragon series are returning and it's reminding me about some of the things that happened in the previous books.
I'm just speculating but, I think this is the start of a whole series in order to do expand the Eragon series. I remember reading about an Eragon TV show on the table so maybe that would continue on to this new series or even starting with Murtagh, instead of Eragon altogether. Either way, I'm excited to continue reading this book.

I did start reading this. I'm maybe 4 chapters deep. It has been a long time since I read any of the Eragon books. I didn't even know who Murtagh was until I started reading this book, but it's coming back to me. I loved a lot of the story ideas in Eragon. Training with Elves and actually becoming part elf? I really liked that idea and pretended my WoW character did something similar when I race swapped to blood elf for the first time. The idea of learning magic through a secret language that is actually the true language of everything that exists, super cool. Telepathically communicating with a dragon that you share power with, uhhh, yes please. lol, anyway, Murtagh is bringing up those fun memories. Murtagh is Eragon's half-brother by the way. Same mom, different dads. They both ended up with dragons. It's going to be neat, diving even more into the Eragon world. So far, it's got some action and some plot building around some sinister magics. No idea what to expect but the reading is smooth and familiar.
