Cats

Snow (Jon "Ludwig" Snow)

Snow is 7 years old and was born sometime in June, let's go with the 9th.  He was a kitten when I got him. It was the night before I moved to Norfolk in 2016. Around the end of July.

Since he travelled in the car a lot as a kitten, he is the only cat I've had that can enjoy a road trip.  He likes to hunt squirrels, birds, voles, and other smaller animals. He likes to sleep with me on my bed sometimes, but also likes to wake me up in the night so he can go outside. He will knock stuff down in order to get me out of bed. He has a soft meow but can get louder if he wants. He can get sassy if you get too close to his face. He has slashed my face before. He likes catnip, a lot. He likes to knead specific stuffed animals because of the material they're made of. He's a good boy, but he doesn't like to play with other cats very much. Maybe because he lost his friend Mahalia and his step-brother, Tori, too soon. He picks on his step-sister, Alita, all the time. Snow is upset by dogs and will climb a tree if he must. In fact, he practices climbing trees for fun, maybe to be prepared for dogs.

Alita (The Battle Angel)

Alita is 4 years old. She was born on March 29th, 2019. I took her in in May 2019. I picked her from a litter of kittens because of her fluffy coat. I wanted a big fluffy cat and was hoping for some tortoise coloring, I think she has a mix of torti and tabby features. She is very much, a cat. She likes to watch the birds. She is always on edge. She likes to cuddle but only on her terms, which is at specific locations. She doesn't like when you reach to pet her, but she doesn't mind being pet. She doesn't care about catnip, really. She used to bite a lot but she has learned to control herself, most of the time. She is fast and will sometimes hunt small animals in the yard. Both cats love to spend time outside when the weather is warm.  Alita will spend her night sleeping on the living room couch or in the bathroom, and sometimes at the top of the basement stairs. She doesn't meow loudly but she will say hello and make a lot of growly sounds. Alita actually weighs more than Snow but you'd just assume it's her fur that makes her look bigger. She is weary of new people and will hide from them, for sure. Sometimes, she practices hiding in random places.
