Across the River

I was expecting this to be in West Virginia, since that's where Point Pleasant is, but it turned out that I would be in Ohio. I crossed over a big wire bridge, a suspension bridge or whatever. Then followed the river to the right for a mile or less. The hotel was maybe two stories tall. I arrived pretty late in the night. I remember thinking it was pretty damn cold and took a hot shower to negate that. Eventually I realized the heater was off and cranked that up to 11. I stayed up for a bit with the TV on before going to sleep. It was a quiet little place that wasn't too fancy but didn't feel like trash dump.

In the morning, I got up much earlier than I usually would, which was still pretty late in morning terms. I remember getting dressed and heading to the dining room for my complimentary breakfast. There was only one employee in the room when I arrived. She was vacuuming and no other guests were there either. I had orange juice, coffee, a pancake, some eggs, and that's all I can recall. I remember it was actually pretty enjoyable, given the food was made to order and not a buffet of food kept warm for hours. I packed up and headed to my car with about 30 minutes until the Mothman Museum opened up.

I stopped at a Walmart for fun, but also because I wanted some almond milk to feed my bones. I had made the decision before I left home to kind of stop at walmarts and targets to see if there were any funko pops hidden away. I stopped at one Walmart the night before but didn't find anything. Not here either. It turned out that all the Walmarts kind of sucked in the Funko department.  Also, Walmarts are easier to spot than Targets.

I pulled into Point Pleasant at around 10am, around the time the museum was supposed to open for the day.
